If you're looking at starting a catering career or a job that serves well beyond the kitchen, then a role as a Chef in the Navy could be for you. Good nutrition is the key to a great performance, so the entire crew couldn't do their jobs without you.

Teamwork is an essential part of the role. You'll work in a tight-knit team where everyone has each other's backs. There are also many opportunities for career growth and travel, including the chance to diversify your cooking skills by taking additional courses in subjects like cheesemaking and baking.

Some of your jobs as a Chef will include:

  • Compiling food orders,

Life in the Navy is anything but mundane. You'll enjoy varied lifestyles, rewarding careers, opportunities to travel, and excellent social and fitness facilities, free medical and dental; all in a dynamic and fulfilling working environment.

Don't worry, it's not all life at sea—there's more to the Navy than ships, submarines and helicopters.

Some days, you might be exploring exciting new countries with your fellow crewmates. Other days, you could be stationed locally not too far from home.

Salary:

Be paid to train and learn the skills required to become a qualified Chef. Upon completion of your initial military and initial employment training, you'll enjoy a competitive starting salary package of up to: $78,108 including service and uniform allowances, as well as a Maritime Allowance (if applicable).
